Improving Water Quality In Northern Environments
Dr. Daniel Smith has conducted wide-ranging research on water quality and treatment, conducted numerous investigations related to northern environments and mentored many undergraduate and graduate students in the fields of environmental engineering and environmental science. He has also contributed significantly to the University of Alberta, technical societies, professional associations and organizations in Canada and internationally.
Dr. Smith’s outstanding accomplishments over 25-year career have raised the level of environmental engineering and have led to widespread applications in improving public health and environmental well-being within Alberta and globally.
