Dr. Sherif Hanafy Mahmoud is Clinical Professor & Associate Dean (Academic) at the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Pharmacy and a neurocritical-care pharmacist at UAH. With 20+ years’ experience, he advances personalized pharmacotherapy for epilepsy and critical illness (PK/PD). Sole editor of “Patient Assessment in Clinical Pharmacy,” he led a practice-changing multicentre study of 700+ patients (20 sites) and authored widely used dosing guides (therapeutic plasma exchange, epilepsy with renal impairment, renal replacement therapy). Honours: 2024 Canadian Pharmacist of the Year; Fellow, Neurocritical Care Society.
