Devotion to Science Promotion finds Home in Medicine Hat
Praxis means “the practical application of learning.” To the Praxis Society in Medicine Hat it also means success. The Praxis Society is a network of Southeastern Alberta volunteers devoted to raising the general level of understanding of science and technology, particularly among one key audience -youth. Praxis works closely with the Medicine Hat community to bring science and technology to students and their families in tangible ways, for example the Science Olympics. One of the highlights of Praxis’ efforts is a science column in the Medicine Hat Daily News where young people submit thought-provoking articles on topics from ozone depletion to embryology ethics.
