Dr. Douglas J. Mahoney, founder and Director of the Riddell Centre for Cancer Immunotherapy, is a translational scientist at the University of Calgary’s Cumming School of Medicine. He also serves as Scientific Director of the Alberta Cellular Therapy & Immune Oncology (ACTION) Initiative and Associate Director at the Arnie Charbonneau Cancer Institute. His team engineers “designer” cells and oncolytic viruses for next-gen immunotherapies, informing SMAC mimetic and virus strategies now in or nearing clinical trials, and convening 100+ experts to advance 12+ new therapies.
