Dr. Ross McKenzie leadership in agronomy science is contributing immensely to the environmental and economic sustainability of crop agriculture in Western Canada and beyond. His work in the area of integrated cropping systems, includes optimization of nutrient and water use, no-till soil and crop management, new laboratory standards for soil phosphorus analysis, manure management and the development of Environmentally Smart Nitrogen (ESN).
His research leadership, contribution to the scientific literature and remarkable technology transfer of results has influenced scientists policy makers, industry and individual farmers.
