Gestural Control of Immersive Audio

Dr. Arlan N. Schultz is a Canadian composer, music technologist, and educator who serves as Associate Professor and head of Composition & Digital Audio Arts at the University of Lethbridge. He pioneers immersive audio technologies that transform how performers and audiences experience sound. His AuraWand G3, an intuitive gestural controller, which lets users sculpt and position sound in space. It was featured in the “Manjushri Cathedral” installation at the $250M Science Commons opening. His work unites art and engineering, advancing spatial, interactive audio in research and practice.
