Transforming Metabolomics Globally through AI and Digital Innovation
Dr. David Wishart, Distinguished University Professor (U of A), Tier-1 Canada Research Chair in Computational Metabolomics and Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, helped launch metabolomics in 1999. He co-founded Chenomx, started the Human Metabolome Project, and created the Human Metabolome Database which is now core to research and diagnostics worldwide. As Scientific Co-Director of The Metabolomics Innovation Centre, this Métis scholar advances Canada’s leadership. Recent honours include the 2024 NSERC Brockhouse Prize.
