Dr. Aman Ullah, Professor and Associate Dean (Academic), University of Alberta (ALES), directs the Lipids Utilization Labs. His PhD (University of Genoa, Italy) and research advance biobased materials from renewable resources for environmental, biomedical, and industrial applications. With 155+ publications, nine patents (six granted), and three co-edited books, he has licensed two technologies to an Alberta biorefinery startup. Honours include Grand Challenges Canada’s Rising Star, ALES Research & Innovation Award, the 33rd ASTech Innovation Award, and IAAM’s Advanced Materials Innovation Award.
