Data Analytics in Subsurface Flow Systems
Dr. Leung, Professor at the University of Alberta and Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Data Analytics for Subsurface Flow Systems, advances numerical and AI-driven methods for reservoirs and other subsurface systems. She leads a 10+ person team building models that (1) predict performance across scales, (2) update uncertainty in real time to optimize designs, and (3) map methane emissions from oil and gas via satellites. With industry partners and \$1.5M+ in recent funding, her work supports oil & gas, geothermal and fluid storage, improving efficiency and lowering environmental impact in Alberta.
